Sunday Children’s Services 9 and 10:45am
the mystery
We have discovered what Jesus did in this mystery we call Easter.
We’ve looked at prophecies in the Old Testament, and we’ve revealed that Jesus is the Messiah! We’ve learned that Jesus died as a sacrifice for our sins, then rose again and won the victory over sin and death forever!
today’s big question:
This SNEAK PEEK HELPS US TO UNDERSTAND
READ WITH US HERE
What was Jesus’ mission for His disciples? Jesus told them to wait for the Holy Spirit to come upon them, and then go share His good news with the world!
WOW! That’s a really big assignment!
LET’S INVESTIGATE
So what do we need to do, detectives?
If you haven’t already, you can start by looking back at the evidence we have already collected in a previous lesson about Jesus’ sacrifice.
Ms. Tammy will help us understand more about what this mystery means for us in this next video.
examine the evidence
Did you know there is more to this mystery than being a great detective?
Jesus wants you to believe and accept personally His sacrifice for your sins. Only you can make that decision for your own life.
Being a disciple starts with believing in Jesus, and it is so much more!
Remember the mission Jesus gave His disciples before He ascended to heaven? He told them to share the gospel with others all around the world.
The gospel is the GOOD NEWS that Jesus died for our sins and rose again so we can receive the gift of eternal life!
God wants the whole world to know this good news, so that all can be saved.
Here is another mystery:
Do you remember that Jesus said He is going to give us power to help us share the gospel message? That power will come when something happens.
Who should we tell?
.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
What should we tell?
.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but
have eternal life.
John 3:16
.
Why should we tell?
Jesus wants all of His disciples to tell others about Him! That means YOU, too!
This next video is about a young girl, a lot like you, who finds ways to share the gospel in her everyday life.
