COVID-19 RESPONSE

Cross Creek Church Family,

With the Coronavirus news filling the airwaves people are becoming panic stricken with fear. As Christians we’re safe in Jesus! Ps 46 is a great chapter to read and begins like this… “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…”

While the world around us responds to this threat with panic and fear, we choose to respond with trust and faith. Why? Because although this virus reminds us that sickness and death are certain in this world, we worship the One who overcame death itself. There is an empty tomb that proves death has been defeated. Our hope is not a “fingers-crossed,” “hope-for-the-best” mentality, but a faith-filled certainty that gives us joy and peace in times of troubles. May we not be overcome by fear in this moment, but may we choose to continue to trust the One who has given us life in and through his Son, Jesus Christ www.canpharm.com/products/cialis

Our Governor declared a disaster emergency for the state with size restrictions of 250 people or more in an attempt to stop the spread of Coronavirus. Locally, Dallas School District just announced the cancellation of all activities for this coming week. My utmost desire is for our church family to be safe and remain healthy. Following the practical advice of the Department of Health on ways to protect yourself from any virus and that’s by washing hands, covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough and staying home if you are sick and avoiding large groups of people. In fact, as I’m writing this, President Trump is declaring this pandemic a national emergency.

In abundance of caution the leadership of Cross Creek decided it would be wise to cancel all services at Cross Creek for the week. This would include Pre-K, CR, Wednesday Family Night… The AWANA Grand Prix will be rescheduled. We encourage you to download our Church App from either Android or Apple store to stay updated, watch live stream, even to financially tithe. We will be streaming live 9am this Sunday as Pastor Bryan will be continuing our series on Time to Dream! Also find us on Facebook, Cross Creek Connections and our Website: crosscreekcc.org

I believe we are witnessing events that proceed the return of Jesus. In a world of bad news, God is getting the world’s attention, opening hearts of people to hear the “Good News”. Use this time wisely to pray for each other, to open doors of opportunities to share your faith. I encourage you to continue meeting in your LifeGroups. Praying for those inflicted and suffering from this illness, for medical workers, and for Cross Creek to be a beacon of hope in a world that desperately needs Jesus!

Keep looking up… Love you,

Pastor Dave
