“Blessed with Peace”

PSALM 23

Psalm 29:11b “… the LORD blesses his people with peace.”

Proverbs 14:30 “A heart at peace gives life to the body”

Seven Truths to build into your life… 

1.     Look to God to _____________ all my needs­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­.

Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

2.     Obey God’s _____________ about rest.

Psalm 23:2a “He makes me lie down…”

Exodus 34:21 “Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.”                 

Rest my Body – Refocus my Spirit – Recharge my Emotions

Psalms 23:2-3a “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul…”

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.

 4.    Go to God for _____________.

Psalms 23:3b “He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.”

Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies,                  and you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” 

Jesus: Matthew 11:28-30 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
