Baptism

Baptism

FOLLOWING CHRIST EXAMPLE

Mark 1:9

At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

“And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.” – Acts 22:16

AN ACT OF OBEDIENCE

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Acts 10:24, 44-48

Baptism – declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ

Baptism also connects us to the  “body of Christ”
