The Journey

“Life” part 1

Exodus 1-2, Acts 7, Heb 11 (Moses)

Numbers 33:1-2 1  Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. 2  At the LORD’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages

  1. _______________ begins with God.

Nehemiah 9:6  You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

Isaiah 42:5  This is what God the LORD says– he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:

God is…

  • Holy, just, righteous, true, gracious, merciful, loving…
  • Omnipresent, Omniscience, Omnipotent
  • Eternal, Sustainer, Sovereign
  • Creator, Life Giver

  1. Your life _______________.

Psalms 139:13-14,16 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  16 “You… scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!”

Exodus 1:22-2:10… Acts 7:20-21 20  “At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared for in his father’s house. 21  When he was placed outside, Pharaoh’s daughter took him and brought him up as her own son.

  1. Life’s Journey is _______________ for eternity.

Hebrews 11:24-27 24  By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25  He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.26  He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27  By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.

Ecclesiastes 3:11  “… He has also set eternity in the hearts of men…”

Colossians 1:10  And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
