 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem…”

Matthew 23:37  “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.

Luke 19:41-44 41  As he [Jesus] approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42  and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43  The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44  They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

God’s Son Jesus came into the world, proved who He said He was… He was rejected, crucified, rose again… 50 days later at Pentecost the church/Christianity was birthed in Jerusalem. Acts 1-2

In fulfillment of Jesus’ words on April 14, 70AD Roman General Titus with four legions of soldiers destroys Jerusalem & the Jewish temple. Scattering the Jewish people throughout the world… For 2000 years the world awaits the return of Jesus.

Matthew 24:3 3  As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
