Secular Humanist Worldview
(The general consensus
today)

Secular humanism aims
heal this world and glorify man as the author of his own, progressive salvation.
What went wrong?
Truth Rejected.
We see two dark exchanges that speak toward this worldview…
1. Exchanged the
Glory of God for Images.
Romans 1:22-23
22
Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and
exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal
man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Lovers
of wisdom became foolish in their opinions and conduct… exchanging God’s glory
for images / idols. “Image” – a representation or likeness of anything
·
Images…
idols come in many varieties… hero worship/sports/music stars/people, TV,
internet…
·
Their
speculations and doctrines were senseless; and their conduct was corrupt.
·
They
changed God as the object of worship for idols… they became fools.
·
They
exchanged a glorious object of worship for that which was degrading and
humiliating.
2. Exchanged the
Truth of God for Lies.
Romans 1:25
They exchanged
the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather
than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.

Whenever
true is rejected… the great lie will step in… Jn 8:44-47; 10:10, etc
·
V24 “God
gave them over” – to abandon, God ceased to restrain them… hands off.
·
Secular
worldview adherents exchanged God’s Glory & Truth for a lie…
·
All
spiritual struggles / sin is a result of ultimately believing a lie and not
truth.
·
“Read
your Bible daily to prevent truth decay” Humanist worldview rejects God’s Truth.

Situational ethics now
envelopes a code of ethics in which meeting the needs of each situation
determines what is right or wrong… merely determined by the desired outcome of
the situation. Moral relativism implores that there is no right or wrong…

Lacking Real Meaning and Purpose in Life

“I Have No
Answers To The Meaning of Life And I No Longer Want to Search For Any.”

You only go thru life
once… grab all the gusto you can… eat, drink & be merry. No afterlife.

Secular worldview
adherents de-emphasize God and the authoritative message of the Bible.

They say the Bible is
a “foggy mirror back to the past” and not the inerrant historical record of the
life and teachings of Christ and His apostles… declaring Jesus the Way, the
Truth, the Life.
o
They say there’s no
Transcendent God who created all things… the Bible is just another book.
o
Since there is no God
or ultimate authority, it’s MY life and I’ll do as I please… no future judgment…
so I can do anything I please.
Man basically has a
thinking problem… (A question of believing lies while rejecting God’s truth)

pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

no creator everything evolved… man evolved from monkeys… NO “missing link” found

Science/knowledge is king… Billions of years ago Ylem exploded (Big
Bang) the

Politically Correct - Today we hear about global warming… oh
really? Indoctrination?

Crisis
of Global Warming, in Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” (High Court of England
ruled)…
“The British
Courts have reportedly ruled the film “An Inconvenient Truth” can only be shown
in classrooms with truth qualifications. In order for the film to
be shown, the Government must first amend their Guidance Notes to Teachers to
make clear that 1.) The Film is a political work and promotes only one side of
the argument. 2.) If teachers present the Film without making this plain they
may be in breach of section 406 of the Education Act 1996 and guilty of
political indoctrination. 3.) Eleven inaccuracies (outright lies) have to
be specifically drawn to the attention of school children.”

Even the
management of “The Weather Channel” told it’s meteorologist to get on board with
Global warming or else… huge pressure is everywhere yet a large number of
scientist refutes the claims…
The founder of TWC
John Coleman said,
About six to seven
years ago, Coleman says he began to hear about supposed "global warming" and
decided to research the subject deeper and to investigate it from a scientific
stance in order educate his viewers. "I'm not talking about reading media
accounts. I'm talking about getting down to the basic research papers," he
explains. "And the more I read them, the more doubt I had -- and eventually the
whole case just collapsed, when you really study the documents. And it became
very clear that it was a manufactured crisis."

Activists, Ban Prayer, Remove References to God

Activists such as the ACLU, ACT UP, Planned Parenthood, Lambda, Gay & Lesbian (GLAAD),
North American Man/Boy Love association (NAMBLA), transgender, political groups…

Approve
abortion, ban prayer, remove “in God we trust”, nativity scenes… Happy Holiday!

Educational Institutions, Media, Gov’t – cradle to grave
o
The
secular humanist worldview has virtually taken over Academia…
o
Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Oxford were ALL Christian universities when they
began… today they fall into the secular humanist worldview camp…
o
Public
education, systematically teaching our school children… evolution (with no
mention of God), immoral lifestyles, sex education (no regard for parents
wishes)… Zero tolerance policy – a 6yr old, 2nd grade boy expelled
for drawing a stick figure with a squirt gun… or in Boulder, Co no more straight
A “valedictorians” because of offending the less intelligent students.
o
Gov’t is
causing people to become more and more dependent upon them… Socialist worldview.

”always
learning but never able to acknowledge the truth… 13 while evil men
and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

What has been the
impact of a loss of truth in society? There are many ways to measure this, and
many ministries and organizations have done just that.
Each year the
Nehemiah Institute gives the PEERS test to thousands of teenagers and adults.
They have administered this test since 1988. The PEERS test measures
understanding in five categories: Politics, Economics, Education, Religion, and
Social Issues.{3}
It consists of a series of statements carefully structured to identify a
person’s worldview in those five categories.
Based upon the
answers, the respondent is then classified under one of four major worldview
categories: Christian Theism, Moderate Christian, Secular Humanism, or
Socialism. In the mid-1980s, it was common for Christian youth to score in the
Moderate Christian worldview category. Not anymore.
Currently,
Christian students at public schools score in the lower half of secular
humanism, headed toward a socialistic worldview. And seventy-five percent of
students in Christian schools score as secular humanists.
